Cristian Alexander Alvarez Rosas (born 29 October 1997) is a Venezuelan simracer. He started competitve sim racing in 2014, when he was invited by a friend to race in South American's F1 Online League.

Sim racing career

Alvarez began his career in 2014, using the F1 Challenge 99-02 from EA. In mid-2015, he decided to switch to rFactor and thus joined the Race4Speed's F3 Series. He even had his own league called F1 Creations League. In 2016 he ran in the Race4Speed's GP1 Series obtaining good results thanks to his teammate Marc Stwerka, despite not being able to participate very often in the races from 2018 onwards, he continued to be supported by Repsol Swinengel Team who contacted him to participate in International Virtual Racing Championship TCC series to compete in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He specializes in superspeedway ovals where he has obtained good results such as the F1 Creations Championship and the GP Latina Nascar Series.

Touring Car Championship

With the beginning of IVRC, Alvarez joined the Touring Car Championship for it's debut season in 2018.

Cristian Alexander Alvarez Rosas (born 29 October 1997) is a Venezuelan simracer. He started competitve sim racing in 2014, when he was invited by a friend to race in South American's F1 Online League.

Sim racing career

Alvarez started his career in early 2014, using EA's F1 Challenge 99-02 in a Venezuelan league using F1 Superleague 2012 modification, his first 2 races had a poor performance finishing both races in last place, for next round they started to use F1 Superleague 2014 modification where he managed to get a podium as best result during the season. during mid 2014 he founded F1 Creations with some friends using F1 Challenge 99-02 with custom teams and liveries to have a league with 30 rounds using that lasted from 2014-2015. In mid-2015 was planned to start a 2015-2016 season in his league, but after 9 rounds league shutted down and he decided to switch to rFactor and thus joined Race4Speed's F3 Series with his friends of F1 Creations getting first podium at Mount Panorama after a incredible battle with Matthew Wheeler. In 2016 he continue in F3 Series and joined GP1 Series, but after 8 rounds left his own team with 1 win and 2 podiums in F3 Series and after 9 rounds he lefts his team in GP1 series. Joining Team GM obtaining 1 win in the only event that he showed up and Repsol Swinegel Racing in GP1 series that gave him a boost in his performance obtaining 5 podiums, 2 fastest laps, 1 Pole Position and 1 win in the last round at Brazil. In 2017 he raced in GP Latina Nascar Series where he won Championship with 4 wins.

Also raced in Race4Speed's GP1 Series 2017-I getting 3rd place in the championship after an intense fight for Vice Championship with Constantin Grimminger until last round . for GP1 Series 2017-II due to the short time available for the races, another driver was given his place in Repsol Swinegel Team, but Alvarez continued with the support of Repsol Swinegel Racing, so he reopened Shadow Team by RSR, where he got 10 podiums, 1 pole position, 1 Fastest lap and 2 wins. finishing 5th in the championship despite missing almost half season. Despite not being able to participate very often in the races from 2018 onwards, he continued to be supported by Swinegel Racing who contacted him to participate in International Virtual Racing Championship TCC series to compete in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He specializes in superspeedway ovals where he has obtained good results such as the F1 Creations Championship and the GP Latina Nascar Series.

Touring Car Championship

With the beginning of IVRC, Alvarez joined the Touring Car Championship for it's debut season in 2018. not having good results, only obtaining a 6th place as best result in Round 2 in Zolder and finishing 17th in Drivers Championship. for 2019-1 continued with Repsol Swinegel Racing where he managed to get 3 podiums with 2nd place in Silverstone and Norisring, finishing 8th in Drivers championship. in 2019-2 kept racing with Repsol Swinegel Racing where he managed to get 4 podiums and 2 wins, at Brno and Okayama getting 7th in Drivers championship and helping to finally wins Teams Championship. 2020 couldn't begin season due to technical issues and was later contacted by Marc Stwerka to join the team for Nordscheilfe and continue racing with the team.

World Endurance Championship

Alvarez joined World Endurance Championship with Repsol Swinegel Racing-GTE being off pace in first 2 rounds of the season. he took a break and joined for Round 6 were was fighting in the pack and managed to get a win in Round 8 at Shanghai and 3rd place in Round 9 at Interlagos, finishing 4th in drivers championship.

Open Wheel Championship

Alvarez joined Open Wheel Championship due to his good experience in Oval racing hoping to get good results for Repsol Swinegel Racing.

Japanese Touring Championship

Alvarez joined Japanase championship with the help of Swinegel Racing with the Nissan GT500, after showing a good pace in a practice held at Sepang International Circuit.

American Endurance Championship

Alvarez joined American Endurance with his own team with the support of Swinegel Racing in GTD Class. He tested different classes before joining championship but he decided to join GTD as he felt confortable while driving it.
