2019-2 TCC
Previous: 2019-1 Next: 2020

The 2019-2 IVRC Touring Car Championship season will be the 3rd IVRC TCC season. Marc Stwerka of Repsol Swinegel Racing will defend the drivers' championship, while MPG Competition will defend the teams' championship. Cupra ist the reigning constructors' champion and as Aurimas Auga is now not eligible to participate as a rookie anymore, we will see a new Rookies' Cup winner by the end of the season.

As it was the case in 2019-1, the calendar will remain as half-year calendar, however all circuits were exchanged or newly introduced, aside Nordschleife and Macau which either returned or re-returned for 2019-2.

Driver changes

  • Bob Sacamano will be no longer racing for Repsol Swinegel Racing in 2019-2. Instead, the team aquired the services of Jesús Chirinos.
  • Martin Jatzek will be no longer racing for MPG Competition in 2019-2.
  • Dionysis Faraos originally opted to switch to Team Berni, however he abandoned his drive after the first race of the season, reducing Team Bernis effort to two cars as neither 2019-1 race winner Bartosz Nowak nor the reigning rookie champion, Aurimas Auga, returned to TCC.
  • Fellow Greek driver Dimitris Giannopoulos originally inteded to race for Repsol Swinegel Racing, but instead left the league for another drive. Also Francisco Vazquez left Repsol Swinegel Racing mid-season without taking part in any races in 2019-2.
  • Several other drivers, including race winner Michael Teichmann, left the series, alongside Germán Soto, Bruno Spano and Victor Bier. Otávio de Barros retired from the series, as he decided to solely focus on his GTE campaign.

Team changes

  • Race winning squad TR Bluvos Motorsports left the series, alongside KRT/Goiaba Racing.
  • C-Force Racing decided to pause it's TCC campaign, as the team started focussing on their WEC programme and team owner Jesús Chirinos switched to Repsol Swinegel Racing.
